KARACHI: Sindh Minister of Energy, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, announced that the provincial energy department will exhibit its ongoing and upcoming projects at the 13th edition of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Pakistan (IEEEP) Fair. The event, set to take place at Karachi Expo Centre in September, aims to draw investment and encourage joint ventures and partnerships for the country’s economic growth.
Speaking as the chief guest at the soft launch ceremony, Minister Shah emphasized the government’s commitment to this initiative, highlighting the collaboration with the ministries of investment, planning, and development to ensure robust participation and engagement during the fair.
“The provincial energy department is fully committed to supporting this initiative. We will work closely with our support departments in the ministries of investment, planning, and development to ensure robust participation and engagement during the fair,” he stated.
During the fair, offices for relevant ministries will be established to facilitate interactions with international and local visitors and exhibitors. This initiative aims to showcase projects across rural and urban Sindh, inviting investment and fostering joint ventures that will significantly contribute to economic development.
Engineer Naveed Akram Ansari, Chairperson of IEEEP, noted that the annual fair attracts over 100 local and international companies, providing a crucial platform for collaboration among professionals, government officials, and industry leaders to address the nation’s evolving needs.
Zohair Naseer, Chief Executive of Badar Expo, expressed confidence in the fair’s potential to foster substantial business engagements. He highlighted the introduction of industry seminars and participation from top electrical and electronic consultants to enhance knowledge sharing. Additionally, specially curated networking lounges for ABAD, APTMA, and the Sindh Energy Department will help exhibitors display their offerings and explore future business opportunities.
